The Minnesota State Yo-Yo Contest features three categories:

• 1A Championship
• Open Championship
• Amateur.

Competitors showcase their skills in 1A with a 2-minute freestyle set to music, explore diverse styles in the Open category, and cheer on newcomers in the Amateur division.
