The Illinois State Yo-Yo Contest brings players from across the state (and beyond) together for two days of competition, community, and fun. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or stepping on stage for the very first time, there’s a division for you.
Divisions include:
• 1A, Dual Hand (2A & 3A), 4A, 5A
• Sport Freestyle (Youth & Adult)
• Trick Ladder (Beginner, Advanced, Open)
• Doc Lucky’s Duos
• Beginner’s Luck Trick Contest
• Plus, Kendama Trick Ladder & Freestyle Divisions
The contest takes place right on the main stage of the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (CHITAG)—North America’s largest public toy & game fair. Between your performance(s), explore interactive exhibits, meet leading toy and game brands, and test out the newest products before anyone else.
Saturday Highlights: Yo-Yo and Kendama Trick Ladder Contests, Kendama Freestyle, Workshops and a Pro Showcase.
Sunday Highlights: Yo-Yo Freestyle Divisions (1A, Dual Hand, 4A, 5A, Sport Freestyle) and Doc Lucky’s Duos.
