If you are interested in holding a new NYYL recognized event, or are proposing to hold an event again, please fill out the following form so that we can get the basic information from you.

Step 1 of 4

  • If the event is a single day, only submit a start date.
Select date MM slash DD slash YYYY
  • Specifics on where the event takes place. For example, if the event is taking place in a mall setting, be specific where the competition location will be at the mall.
  • Tell us what the competition stage will be like.
  • What are the accommodations for spectators? What kind of seating is available to them? Is there food readily available? Water? Bathrooms?
  • What audio/visual equipment is anticipated to be used at the event? Speakers, microphones (wired or wireless), projectors, etc.
  • Anticipated timeline for the event. From initial setup, opening of the venue to the public, competitor check-in, competition divisions, breaks, awards, and clean-up.
  • How will you handle music for freestyles at the event?
  • Outline the competitor registration fees that will be charged as well as any tickets that will be required for spectators.
  • If there will be competitors seeded directly to the finals, describe how that will be determined.
  • Describe how competitors from the prelims will advance to finals. Is there a specific number that will advance? A specific score break? Will there be a minimum number of competitors from a region or state that will advance?
  • What awards will be given out and through what places? Will all divisions be the same?
