The 2019 Junior National Yo-Yo Contest will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at the Chico City Plaza.

This contest is a perfect opportunity for newer and younger players to learn, grow, connect, explore and demonstrate their potential.

All competition will be in the 1A style for competitors aged 16 years old and younger on the day of the contest. Awards for the top players in each age group (12 and under, 13, 14, 15, and 16 years old), as well as championship awards for the top 3 overall competitors with the top scoring player crowned as Junior National Champion! Both boys and girls placements will be recognized.

The morning will start with 1-minute preliminary performances for all competitors with 2-minute finals for the top qualifying competitors.

Online registration and music upload will open on Monday, September 9th, 2019 and close on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2019.

HOTEL INFORMATION

We have been unable to secure a block of rooms in a ‘host hotel’ as Sierra Nevada Brewery is holding an Oktoberfest event on the same weekend and many hotels are still impacted by people displaced due to the Camp Fire last November.

Checking online availability as of Setember 7th, 2019 – the Ramada Plaza in Chico does have availability. Other hotels may have availability if you call in or are a member of their loyalty program.
